Synopsis
As Nigeria’s digital payments ecosystem expands, the resilience of financial infrastructure has become a critical priority for regulators, banks, and technology providers. To address this challenge, Vontech Group, in collaboration with AWS and Redington, partnered with B4B Partners to convene Banking on the Cloud: Regulation, Resilience & the Next Scale Curve — a closed-door executive forum for 50 leaders in the financial services industry.
About the Client
Vontech Group is a technology solutions provider specializing in cloud services, IT consulting, and digital transformation. Working alongside strategic partners Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Redington, Vontech supports organisations in modernising infrastructure, adopting emerging technologies, and building systems capable of operating at scale in today’s digital economy.
The Problem
Nigeria’s financial services ecosystem is expanding rapidly. Financial institutions are modernising legacy systems. Cloud adoption is accelerating across banks and fintechs. However, this growth raises critical questions:
- How do financial institutions scale digital services without introducing systemic fragility?
- How should regulators, infrastructure providers, and banks collaborate to ensure resilience across the ecosystem?
- And what responsibilities do technology leaders carry as financial systems become increasingly interconnected?
Vontech Group recognised the need for a focused, executive-level dialogue where regulators and industry leaders could address these questions directly.

Our Approach
B4B Partners led the end-to-end design and execution of the executive forum, transforming the concept into a tightly structured program designed to foster meaningful industry dialogue. Our work covered four key areas.
- Program Design
We developed a half-day executive agenda structured around a clear narrative arc: Regulation, Technology, Cloud Infrastructure, and Leadership. Sessions included a keynote, fireside chat, executive panel, strategic perspectives, and a product demonstration. This structure ensured the discussion moved from policy context to operational realities and forward-looking technology strategy.
Key themes explored included:
- Payments system resilience
- Cloud adoption in regulated industries
- Operational governance in financial institutions
- Technology leadership in complex financial systems
B4B Partners also managed full on-site program execution, including guest check-in, hosting, branding, speaker coordination, and media coverage.

- Speaker Management
B4B Partners confirmed and coordinated 11 senior speakers across regulators, financial institutions, and global technology partners, including: Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NITDA, NIBSS, First Bank, Access Bank, FCMB, Onafriq, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Vontech Group, and Redington.
Our engagement included:
- Speaker outreach and confirmations
- Development of conversation guides and session briefs
- Calendar coordination and communications
- On-site speaker hosting and support
- Attendee Curation
Working closely with Vontech Group, AWS, and Redington, we curated a high-quality executive audience. B4B Partners managed invitation outreach, registration, and participant communications to ensure the forum brought together decision-makers across the financial ecosystem.
- Program Visibility
To drive awareness and registrations, B4B Partners executed a targeted pre-event communications campaign including:
- A 15-day social media campaign
- Newsletter campaigns distributed to the B4B community

Banking on the Cloud created a high-trust environment for dialogue between regulators, banks, fintechs, and technology providers on the future of Nigeria’s financial infrastructure.
Why This Matters
As digital transactions continue to scale across Nigeria, the stability of financial infrastructure is becoming a national priority.
The conversations held at Banking on the Cloud reflected a growing consensus across the industry:
- Resilience must be designed into systems from the start
- Cloud adoption must align with regulatory expectations
- Technology leaders must treat infrastructure stability as a strategic responsibility.
By bringing regulators, financial institutions, and technology providers into the same room, the forum helped advance the conversation around how Nigeria’s financial ecosystem can scale responsibly.
What Participants Valued Most
Early feedback highlighted three key strengths of the program:
- Direct engagement with regulators: Attendees appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from CBN, NITDA, and NIBSS.
- Practical industry insights: Discussions were grounded in operational realities rather than theoretical concepts.
- High-quality peer dialogue: Curated attendance ensured meaningful conversations between senior technology leaders across institutions.
Participants rated the event 4.5 out of 5 on average.
